Pirate cookies!
200 g all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. vanilla sugar
1 tsp. coarse salt
170 g butter, softened
110 g confectioners sugar
70 ml dark rum
Beat the butter with 40 g of confectioners sugar, until creamy. Add the rum, beat, and then add the dry ingredients.
Form logs with a diameter of 2½ cm, wrap them in film, and leave them in the fridge for any time between 30 minutes and 30 days.
Slice the logs (about ½ cm), and bake at 180 degrees Celsius, for about 15 minutes. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes, before tossing the cookies with the remaining confectionarys sugar.
Yields 25-30 cookies.
